It was open to the public, the concert aimed to foster understanding and integration between the Chin refugees and the broader Nelson community while providing an outlet for the community. It was an opportunity to raise awareness about the ongoing human rights abuses and the struggles faced by the Chin community in Myanmar, and provide communal relief in the form of something fun to participate in, and engage with.

Emotional Relief: For many that ttended, the concert offers a sense of normalcy and belonging. This is very important in Chin culture, we do a lot together. The concert served as an emotional outlet and a source of communal fun, providing a temporary respite from the trauma of the displacement and conflict their families may be experiencing in Burma currently..

Songs and Dances: The concert featured traditional Chin songs and dances, providing a platform for community members, especially the youth, to engage with their cultural heritage. This preserves these art forms by passing them down to the next generation.
