School-wide Samoan Dance Support

‘Our school is celebrating our Pasifika students by learning a sasa dance across the whole school. We have a few students experienced in this dance form. However, in order to successfully craft and teach the sasa to the whole school, it would be great to have someone experienced in teaching sasa come in from the community. This project is important because it not only brings the beauty of sasa to the whole school population but it also shows that it is something important to us. By doing this, we show that the knowledge of our Samoan students is special and valuable. We also support in preserving these cultural traditions.’ Chris Mulholland
