Fiji Independence Day

Fiji Independence Day was celebrated at the Enner Glynn Hall on 21 October by members of the Fijian Community.
After 96 years of British colonial rule, Fiji was granted independence on 10 October 1970. To celebrate this momentous occasion a public holiday was declared. Fiji Independence Day is celebrated every year.
